British Air Ferries Ltd (BAF) fut formée en janvier 1963 par la fusion de Channel Air Bridge et de Silver City Airways. Elle fut d'abord connue sous le nom de British United Air Ferries jusqu'en septembre 1967. Enfin elle fut rebaptisée British World Airways en 1993.

British Air Ferries Ltd (BAF) was formed in January 1963 by the merger of Channel Air Bridge and Silver City Airways. The merged company was known as British United Air Ferries until September 1967. The name British World Airlines was formally adopted in 1993.
